Timeframe
Currently, it is taking me 4-6 weeks to make a gown from the point that the order is confirmed and deposit and measurements have been received. I recommend that you order your gown at least 3 months in advance of your wedding to allow time for alterations. If you need a gown expedited, please contact me and I will let you know how soon I can make it depending on my current workload.Fitting
Since women don’t come in generic sizes, I make all my gowns to your exact measurements. Please download and fill out the measurement form and send it to danielle@dmariecouture.com after you place the order. Since getting the correct measurements is crucial to getting a good fit, it is recommended that you have a local tailor or someone who is knowledgeable about sewing help you take the measurements. Although this method makes it possible to ensure a very close fit, an additional fitting and alterations may be needed to get it just right. If you are local in the Southern California area, we can make arrangements to do a fitting in person, and I will make any necessary alterations. If you are a long-distance client, you may need to find a local tailor or seamstress to do the final fitting and alterations.Payments:
A 25% deposit is required at the time of ordering to cover the cost of materials before I begin working on your gown. This deposit is non-refundable unless D’Marie is unable to make the dress. Once the dress is completed, the balance is due before the dress will be shipped. Payments may be made electronically via paypal or sent via regular mail by check or money order. For orders in the United States gowns will be shipped via Fedex ground or USPS priority mail, and will date 5-10 business days, unless expedited shipping is requested. For international orders, shipping method will be arranged depending on country it is being shipped to.Returns
Since each gown is made to order to your custom measurements, I cannot accept returns if you change your mind about the dress, so please make sure that this is the dress you really want before committing to buy. Under extenuating circumstances, or if the gown does not meet your expectations, I may be able to refund 75% (minus the deposit), however my goal is to work with you to ensure 100% satisfaction!
