This elegant gown was inspired by a1940′s era slip that I inherited from my great grandmother. The gathered v neck and inverted v empire line create such a beautiful shape and flatter the figure so nicely. I thought it was a shame to keep such a lovely design under wraps, so I adapted the design to a gown similar to the daring evening gowns worn by Ava Gardner. It features a deep V surplice neckline, x straps with plunging back, curved seam mermaid skirt with a sweep train, and pearl embellished trim at the empire line. The gown is made of luxurious silk charmeuse, and lined with habotai silk. With its graceful lines and exquisite details this dress is the definition of sophisticated glamor.
